Thomas Marx

Thomas Marx started in this business back in 1996 after joining the club duo HI DENSITY with lead singer Steve 'The Bear' Mellor. He learnt his trade the way all singers should by doing 10 day runs in Newcastle and wales up fire escapes. Thomas started out slowly doing the odd songs until after getting a taste for being the front man, he decided a change in direction was needed.In 1998 Thomas applied for the part of lead singer in a new venture, a fun party latin trio called 'HAVANA' consisting of a bass player, singer / saxaphone player with Thomas on lead vocals.Thomas enjoyed the trio for a few years but  even though Havana were at the height of popularity Thomas still craved more and decided to go it alone.In 2002 after sponsorship from The Acadamy of Sound in Sheffield Thomas was ready to take on clubland and was offered sole management by Cee Bee Entertainment.Thomas played lots of new and exciting venues and got to work along side some great artists until in 2007 feeling the need for a change decided to go freelance susiquently opening up even more opportunities for work including working abroad in Dubai at the Taj Palace Hotel and corporate venues.Thomas Marx also provides a poster design service for acts and the offer of studio time to record there own albums.Thomas has achieved his two main goals while being solo, the first to sing with live backing and the other to win the Mercury award for best male solo  this goal was achieved in October 2010.
