Nottingham based musical duo Gin & Coke are a combination of members from two well known acts: Wildest Dream's Terry Crofts, and the Airtones' Ryan Tyler.
After years of performing separately, they came together to perform for a family wedding (ah, did I not mention Terry and Ryan are actually related?).
It seemed a shame to leave it at the one-off event and so have continued and created "Gin & Coke".
The name is a bit strange, and the drink itself is only "palatable". But it comes from a family house party many years ago when Ryan disappeared in to a room with his glass of coke to talk on the phone. He was gone quite some time...an hour or two. When he appeared he seemed to be a lot more intoxicated than coke can do alone.
The following day his auntie found what appeared to be a dark brown substance in the gin optic that was in the room. Yes, it defies physics and how can liquid be sucked up into an optic. But Ryan was blamed for it...and still profusely denies it till this very day.
And Terry...well, he's just wound him up for years about it, even buying Ryan miniature bottles of gin and coke for birthdays.
P.S. Ryan doesn't actually drink gin!

Musically they combine a range of styles right from the Beatles, The Jam, Billy Idol, and ELO up to modern day hits such as "Uptown funk" and "Shut up and dance".
