COVID-19 Update

We just wanted to let you all know about what we as a club are doing in this time of uncertainty surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19).
We feel it necessary to take a some steps to keeping both our staff and our customers healthy. We want to ensure steps have been taken to minimise both possible exposure to COVID-19, and also minimise any disruption.

With effect from Monday 16th March and following the the advice of central health authorities, the following procedures have been implemented:

  • Staff are being encouraged to self-isolate and not attend work, if displaying early symptoms associated with COVID-19

  • Staff have also been advised to keep their hands clean, keeping pumps clean, the bar clean and to clean tables. Tables will be done hourly midweek but as you know at the weekend this will be tougher due to the size of the club and will try our best to keep the tables clean

  • Cleaning of high risk areas such as door handles, games machines and the bar area

  • We are also awaiting the delivery of hand gel dispensers around the club and these will be placed strategically around the club when they arrive

  • Beer mats will also be removed from tables for the time being

  • We ask/advise members to wash their hands as often as they can and we encourage for people to use contactless card where possible but will not stop taking cash

As we move into the 'delay' phase of managing the Covid-19 epidemic, your actions will help protect yourself and will protect others.

For now, it is business as usual at Wadsley Bridge but we value the health of our staff, customers and their families.
